Thurlaston Church
Thurlaston church has several activities going on, weekly, monthly and
annually.
Weekly:
A weekly Moore College course runs at Enderby Church.
Wednesdays see the meeting of the homegroup to praise
and give thanks to God, study what he has to say and to pray for
members and the wider needs of the community and country.

Thursdays are when a joint communion service is held at Enderby church at 9.30.
Fridays are a time of footballing fun with Enderby Church members with an hour of 5-a-side at a local leisure centre.
Monthly:
There is an active Mothers Union group which meets on the third Tuesday.
A prayer meeting is held with at our sister church in the benefice at
Enderby.
Several members of the church organise a lunchtime club and an assembly twice a term at
Thurlaston Primary School following the Open the Book programme.
Annually:
The church and the chapel meet for joint services on Good Friday, for
Harvest and in the marquee on the Sunday after the village carnival in
June, enjoying a shared lunch after the Harvest and Carnival services.
In September the church holds a 'Back to Church' service to
coincide with the national day to encourage those who have drifted away
to return.
Every December the church holds a Carol service.
Other Activities:
Several times during the year a Christianity Explored course is
held for people who have questions about the Christian faith and wish
to know more. these are held at Enderby.
Other:
The church has supported the JOY goat breeding project in Uganda for
many years.
There are several 'nights out' for the men and the women of the
benefice (usually separately!). Previous events include a chinese or
indian meal or even a brewery trip has been known!
